The Central Theme

This week's message is The Central Theme. Choose your connection speed to listen: dialup - broadband - transcript

Who is at the Center?

Central to every writing, every teaching, every belief, and every gathering, is something or someone. This center radiates out into everything around it, bringing either life or death.

attendance: 45

There are many teachers, many claimed prophets, many doctrines, many leaders and preachers. And we often seem unsure of whether they are truly of God.

And when we encounter anything of which we're unsure, we can ask the question, "What is the center? To what or whom does this point?" If the answer is not Jesus, or if anything or anyone is presented along side him, we may do well to move on to something real.

Choose your connection speed above and join us for worship and a time in the Word, as we talk about the Central Theme, ending with a challenge that could change your life forever.

Do you enjoy poetry and music? My wife, Jennifer Faust, has gathered together some of her best poetry and has recorded it just for you. I have composed original music with sound effects especially for each poem in Jen's Poetry Volume One.

What It's All About

There are plenty of things to keep us busy, lots of activities to occupy our time; and how often do we stop and ask the question, "What is this all about?" Fellowship - click to enlarge

Jesus said, "If I am lifted up, I will draw all people to me." While he was speaking of the manner in which he would die, he was also speaking of the manner in which the lost would be reconciled to God.

If we center our lives and activities around Jesus, we will find we lift him up more and more in our thoughts, our actions, and our words. And as we exalt Jesus, he will give us the boldness to lift him up even more, and he will draw those around us to himself.

And this is our purpose and our central and driving focus for reaching out through the virtual world: to exalt Jesus, pointing to him and to reconciliation with God through a personal relationship with Jesus, and we know Jesus will continue to draw the 2.5+ million residents of this online community to himself.

Currently there are more than 2,542,637 people in the virtual community we have been called to reach, and that number grows by 30,000 to 100,000 per week. Help us reach as many of those as possible with the love and life-changing Good News of reconciliation with God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

Please partner with us today! Ask God what he would have you do as a one-time gift and as a monthly partner.

Additionally, you can ask us to send information about our ministry in the virtual world to your pastor, ministry, or Christian business. When they catch the vision and see what a large and virtually unreached mission field the virtual world is, they will be given the chance to play a part in this powerful outreach. Visit here to request information sent to your church, ministry, or Christian business.

Visit here to become a financial partner or give a one-time gift today. And remember, whatever you do to the least of these, you do unto Jesus.

Prayer Requests & Praise Reports

Healing from Stroke Ann writes, "My 57 yr old husband had a stroke; I am his caregiver. I have loved him for 32 yrs. Altar Ministry - click to enlarge I am so tired of being the responsible spouse for the past 6 mos. I have no help. I work at a church. I am the Energizer Bunny as far as people can tell. But I am tired; so tired. I love Jesus with all my heart. I trust Him. But why can't I feel hopeful. Pray that I can cope."

Father and Husband Sha writes, "Please pray for me a single mom to be blessed with a husband. Please pray for my two sons to be healed of A.D.D.. Thank you"

Pray For Us! Please pray that God will continue to move through this ministry in an even greater measure. Without your prayers, our labor will not have much effect. But when the work of the ministry is backed by prayer, great things will happen!

Visit our prayer center to post requests or pray for those who daily request prayer. If you wish to be a prayer partner and have the requests e-mailed to you, contact us.
